Spectacle Lenses

Varifocal Lenses

Varifocal lenses have optimised focusing zones for distance, intermediate and near.

These are available in many different designs and qualities.

Occupational Lenses

Many people over the age of 40 suffer with eye-related symptoms with VDU use.

Occupational lenses are available for computer use.

They allow a wider field of view at the computer screen distance compared with Varifocal lenses.

Anti-Reflective Coating

Multi Anti-Reflective (MAR) Coatings reduce unwanted reflections from the lens surface, to allow more light to reach the eyes.

This improves the quality of vision and makes the lenses appear invisible.

UV Protective Coating

Protecting the eyes from Ultra-Violet (UV) rays is very important.

UV exposure can lead to redness of the eyes, developments of Cataract and Macular Degeneration.

Photochromic Lenses

Photochromic lenes adjust to varying conditions by changing from light to dark.

Modern photochromic lenses react quickly to changes in light.

They also protect the eyes from absorbing harmful ultraviolet light.

Polarised Lenses

When light is reflected off surfaces such as water, vision becomes impaired.

Polarised lenses work by cutting out this distracting glare and so improving vision and giving amazing clarity, even below the waters surface.

Polarised lenses are perfect for fishing, sports activities and driving!

Thin & Light Lenses

As the power of the lenses increases so does the thickness and weight. This can be unattractive and uncomfortable.

High index lenses are new lens materials which mean lenses can be up to 50% thinner and 40% lighter.

Polycarbonate Lenses

These lenses are used for eye safety, sunglasses, sports and childrens lenses.

They are impact resistant and absorb UV light.

Polycarbonate lenses are also up to 25% thinner and 20% lighter than ordinary plastic lenses.
